Conference, Eastern Division Champions

U-High beat the Chillicothe Ghosts, 60-14, to win the Heart of Illinois Conference Championship. “They were a small group as freshman but they stuck together and really made it gel,” said Coach Frank Chiodo. Hal Chiodo, Jack Eddy and Bruce Naffziger were named to the All-Intercity Football Squad. Larry Olson, Marion Kiesewetter, Rob Knapp and Hudson Venerable were selected to the All-conference team.
