The team was led by Bob Milligan, the team’s most valuable award winner, along with J. B. Stevens, Mike Venker, Deon Miller and Tom Venker. Finished first in the St. Bede Invitational, first in the Heart of Illinois Conference Tournament, first in the Intercity Tournament, Second in the District, second in the Sectional, fourth in the prestigious Quincy Invitational and ninth in the season’s climax, the State meet.
