State qualifiers, Class 2A

Coach Lester Hampton. Led by freshman Katy Clausen, the girls placed 8th at the 2A state meet. They also captured the Intercity championship, took 4th at regionals and placed 2nd at Sectionals. “Conference was the most competitive I’ve seen the girls,” said head coach John Neisler. “We won a tight race against Mahomet and people really stepped up and took ownership of what needed to get done.”
